1) What’s in a Scotch Egg?

Looking to expand your culinary repertoire? Add a Scotch Egg appy to your dinner plate! This British culinary classic may look a bit strange at first sight, but your taste buds won’t be disappointed. Consisting of two hard boiled eggs wrapped in Canmore-made Valbella sausage and warm breadcrumbs, and served with their Guinness BBQ sauce and Miner’s mayonnaise, you won’t be disappointed in this satisfying savoury treat.

2) Winner Winner Fish & Chip Dinner

There’s a local award for the best Fish & Chips in the Bow Valley (yes, really!) and the Georgetown Inn has claimed this title for eight years in a row. If stopping in Canmore to fuel up after a mountain adventure, be sure to add this dish to your post-mountain-workout routine! Make your choice of Halibut or Atlantic Cod - both are battered in their house recipe featuring Big Rock Traditional Ale, so you know it’s gotta be good!

3) Crown Yourself a Summit King

Speaking of mountain workouts, the Georgetown Inn has the ultimate challenge. The Canmore Triple Crown entails summiting three Canmore-area peaks in a single day - Lady MacDonald, Ha Ling, and East End of Rundle - a victory accomplished by few. They’ll go easy on you, though! Simply hike all three in one summer, post your summit photos to their Facebook Page, and ‘check in’ afterwards to receive your Triple Crown pint glass to receive discounted refills at the Miner’s Lamp Pub.

Good news! The Fish and Chips and Scotch Egg are both featured on their set menu for Canmore Uncorked, but their delicious dishes don’t end there. Their gourmet Georgetown’s Famous French Toast serves up this breakfast favourite with everything from caramelized apples to mixed berry coulis. Or for later in the day, their Stuffed Yorkshire Pudding is a meal you won’t forget - stuffed with slow roasted AAA Alberta beef and demi-glace.
